While vacating in Aspen, Colorado, comedian superstar Kevin Hart, found himself on the bunny hill, with no ski poles, unable to stop and a kid on skis headed straight for him.

“My instructor started yelling ‘fall, fall, fall,’” Hart yells out to the audience. “I’m trying, I can’t. They didn’t teach me, I am not going down.”
The two collided, and instead of falling, Hart now had the kid in his arms and was headed down a more difficult hill.
“When we started going down, this lady was like, ‘he got mmmyyy baby,’” Hart shrieks to the audience, mimicking that he had the boy in his arms. “I was like that is not good at all. I said ‘God please don’t let this baby be white.’” The audience erupts in laughter.
Hart’s jokes don’t have a typical punchline, and the audience seems to get it. He’s the punchline and his comedy is rooted in stories about his Blackness, his family and his short stature (He says he’s 5-foot-5). He tells these stories with grand gestures and a great deal of energy. His compact figure seems to bounce like a ball from one side of the stage to the other.

He’ll bring his full-throated performance of “Acting My Age” at the Prudential Center in Newark, on Sunday, June 30, as part of New Jersey’s second annual, North to Shore Festival.
Hart, a Philadelphia native, began his comedy career after graduating from high school. His career took off after Judd Apatow cast him in the Fox sitcom “Undeclared.” He performed in a series of assorted movies, then released his first stand-up album, “I’m a Grown Little Man,”in 2009.
Two years later, Hart’s comedy tour “Laugh at My Pain” grossed $15 million. His earliest stand-up was about his mother, who raised him, and his father, who struggled with drug addiction.
During his “Laugh At My Pain,” he joked that his father had a habit of taking things that he brought and leaving, after arguing with his mother. One year this resulted, in Hart’s father removing the lights off their Christmas tree, on Christmas Eve.

“Do you know how mad you gotta be to take the Christmas lights off the goddamn Christmas tree? Do you know how long it takes to take Christmas tree lights off the Christmas tree?” Hart said as he mimicked how his father walked in circles around the tree to remove the lights.
In a release, Hart said, “‘Acting My Age’ is my ninth tour and I wanted to change things up by creating a more intimate environment. This hour is about connecting with the audience and feeding off the crowd’s energy and laughter.”
In more recent years, Hart has gone on to star in the Jumanji franchise, The Secret Life of Pets (2016), and Fast &amp; Furious Presents: Hobbs &amp; Shaw (2019). In January, Hart starred in his newest action comedy movie Netflix’s “Lift”
