And Jennifer Lawrence recalled her earlier days in the entertainment industry in a sit down chat with famed radio host Howard Stern on Wednesday morning.
The 27-year-old Academy Award-winning actress admitted that she auditioned for the hit Twilight film series, but ultimately lost out on a coveted role.

&#8216;I didn&#8217;t really know what it was,&#8217; she told Stern about the now cult-classic vampire flicks. &#8216;When you audition, when you&#8217;re a run-of-the-mill actor &#8211; we&#8217;re all auditioning for all sorts if things &#8211; you just get like five pages and they&#8217;re like act monkey!&#8217;
The saga went on to cast Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan and Robert Pattinson as  Edward Cullen.
Although Jennifer was a bit disappointed at not booking a gig, she still admitted to being a fan of the film.

&#8216;When it came out, I was like hot damn! Woah!,&#8217; she said with enthusiasm.
While going through the actions of auditioning for films was difficult, she said she was &#8216;not jealous&#8217; when she missed out on an opportunity.
&#8216;The only thing &#8211; Emma Stone and I had this conversation once because we used to always audition for the same thing which now seems silly &#8211; she got one thing that I was dying for,&#8217; she said without naming the particular movie.

&#8216;The one thing that really killed me, the only time I&#8217;ve ever been truly devastated by losing an audition was at Tim Burton&#8217;s Alice in Wonderland.&#8217;
Lawrence lost out on the role to Mia Wasikowska, which also starred Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway and Johnny Depp.
&#8216;That one devastated me,&#8217; she recalled. &#8216;And, she was perfect and amazing and I couldn&#8217;t have had a British accent.&#8217;

But Jennifer&#8217;s star power was on the rise as she landed the role of a lifetime in the Hunger Games series.
&#8216;I had such a solid indie career at that point that I was like this is perfect, I get to act and I&#8217;m not that famous,&#8217; she said. &#8216;That was what was nice about the sitcom &#8211; I was just getting checks, acting, having fun &#8211; no consequences.&#8217;
Howard then went on to question, &#8216;But were you afraid that Hunger Games would type cast you?&#8217;
&#8216;Ya. I mean, I knew it was going to be a life changer,&#8217; she told Stern. &#8216;I knew &#8230; and then the other fear was ya, only being known for that character.&#8217;
