Jonathan Owens claimed to be the ‘catch’ in his relationship with Simone Biles. However, in reality, it is Owens who looks up to his wife for inspiration. As a matter of fact, both Biles and Owens have been extremely supportive of each other. Back in Tokyo, when the gymnastics team queen had a disastrous outing, her self-confidence was down in the dumps. Getting into depression, Biles locked herself up in her house and even thought of hanging her leotard for good.

But Owens did not let that happen. Taking on the role of a mentor, the NFL star helped Biles get out of her shell. Gradually, it worked wonders as the 27-year-old then went on to make a thumping comeback in Paris to reclaim her throne as the G.O.A.T. While in Paris, Owens constantly cheered for his wife from the stands and even took notes of each of the points awarded for her routines! What’s more? Owens even wanted to trick the Chicago Bears to catch his wife performing at the Olympics.

However, apart from supporting Biles, Jonathan Owens also admires her work ethic. After all, to come back from almost quitting the game and be the best requires some outworldly mental toughness. And while most people do tell Owens about how good he is, the 29-year-old wants some constructive criticism to come his way. Well, who better than Simone Biles to hand him some champion-like tuning?

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Fox32Chicago, Owens said, “Just being with an elite athlete is just, and like me, being with her, it just motivates me every day. Like she’s the greatest in her sport ever, you know, so I’m like, some of that has to rub off on me. You know what I mean?” He further stated that apart from getting a piece of her champion’s mentality, the 29-year-old also loves to have Biles around. It gives him more power and zeal to perform better.

Surely Owens did get his wish fulfilled. After a long period of staying away from each other, the duo are finally able to stay together. And that, for Owens, is a magical feeling. Reflecting on their lovely time together, the Owens gave a detailed account of how they are spending their fun leisure.
Ever since their marriage, both Owens and Biles have been in a long-distance relationship. With the couple leading a hectic life owing to their professional commitments, the duo have gone back and forth to spend some quality time with each other. It was only after the Paris Olympics concluded that Biles had some breathing space. And now, while she has the leverage to stay with Owens, the Chicago Bears’ star feels like walking on the moon.
In the same interview with Fox, Jonathan Owens said, “This is really our first time being able to just be married. I come home, and there’s food cooking, and it smells good. I’ve been here by myself with the dog, so having some help there, she’s like, ‘Oh, babe, I can take him to the vet now.’ I’m just like, ‘Man, this is amazing.’ It’s just been great just to be able to be married.” The 29-year-old also confessed their love for food and how they list down new places to visit. Well, with the duo’s chemistry picking up pace like never before, Biles and Owens are surely setting examples in the realm of sports’ power couples.
