The first look at David Corenswet as the lead hero in James Gunn&#8217;s Superman has been revealed, and now a new look at the actor&#8217;s impressive physical transformation to play the DC Universe&#8217;s Kal-El has been shared. Despite having started filming in February, Gunn managed to keep the Superman suit a secret until now, with the reveal likely coming ahead of outdoor filming, so the first look at David Corenswet&#8217;s Superman did not come through set photos. Corenswet went through quite the workout routine to achieve his Superman look, and a new photo spotlights his physical journey.

Corenswet, however, has an advantage over Cavill, as the DCU Superman is a few inches taller than the DCEU star. Corenswet stands at 6&#8217;4&#8243;, while Cavill&#8217;s height reaches the 6&#8217;1&#8243; mark. As one of the two tallest actors to have ever played the Man of Steel in live-action and looking very similar to Cavill&#8217;s impressive Superman physique, there is a chance that throughout Gunn&#8217;s Superman and his future DCU appearances, Corenswet will cement himself as the most physically imposing Superman star yet.
