This means Kourtney’s parenting has been called out many times, both for good and bad reasons, and the reality star recently found herself on the receiving end of backlash for her tone-deaf attitude.
Fans Claims Kourtney Is Setting Unrealistic Standards
The mother-of-four faced criticism following the airing of the latest episode of her family’s Hulu reality show, as fans expressed concerns that Kourtney is perpetuating unrealistic expectations for mothers.
In the episode, Kourtney shared her apprehensions about resuming her routine after Rocky’s arrival, explaining, “I’m starting to get a bit of anxiety about going back into the world,” she revealed on the show.
Some viewers took to social media to voice their disapproval, labeling her as “privileged.” One commenter on E! News’ Instagram post remarked, “She acts like that’s her first baby.” Another echoed this sentiment, saying, “Sometimes, I think she forgets that she has 3 other kids.”
Critics argued that Kourtney’s parenting approach is feasible only for those with substantial financial resources (like the Kardashian-Jenner family), allowing them the luxury of time and energy to dedicate to their children. They suggested that such a parenting style would be unattainable for working-class families, making Kourt’s attitude appear out-of-touch.
However, Kourtney also had her defenders. Some supporters praised her dedication to motherhood, highlighting that she has always been a protective and engaged parent.

Kourtney has admitted in the past she has a controversial parenting style, but she’s also been unashamed and unapologetic for her decisions. Even in the recent The Kardashians episode, Kourtney made it clear to her mom and sisters she didn’t feel bad about staying mainly at home with the newborn, even if it means forgoing family functions, like the Aspen trip, which turned into a disaster later in the episode.
How Scott Is Allegedly Causing Trouble For Kourtney
This isn’t the only controversial decision of Kourtney’s that’s recently caused buzz. Earlier this month, a report claims the Poosh founder is going to “extreme lengths” to avoid her ex Scott Disick, aside from their co-parenting obligations, as they share three kids.
Speaking to Life & Style, a source claims Kourtney’s husband Travis Barker is uncomfortable with Scott, and prefers they keep their distance, which Kourtney is apparently fine to adhere to.
“It was all amped up a bit for the show but still, the truth is they actually have had to spend a huge amount of time apart and they still do at times, mostly because of their toxic exes,” the insider claimed.
“Scott is still a nightmare [when] it comes to the custody drop-offs, he’s still so bitter about Travis,” they went on. “[Travis] can’t stand Scott. So he usually just goes into his shell and avoids the whole situation by taking off.”
Kourtney has yet to address the reports about her co-parenting dynamic with Scott.
